My blog has moved...

I really enjoy writing this blog. Truth is I'm a frustrated (maybe too big a word) writer. If I wasn't so in love with paint I'd be writing and with this blog I get to do both but only get rejection letters from art galleries, not publishers! On the sage advice of someone I really admire it was suggested I use Wordpress and so I have moved.  Only did a couple posts there but more to come.  Check out my new blog site at

Winter paintings!

Storm after storm has kept me in the studio painting which is a good thing but I've had enough of Mother Nature's inspiration!  I want Spring now!  In fact I've left off doing some winter paintings to begin work on summery tonalist ideas.  Here are the very latest and last winter paintings until next year!

Afternoon Shadow, w/c, 16 x 12 in

Cedars, w/c, 14 x 20 in

Early Winter Evening, w/c, 20 x 14 in

Old Man in Winter, 20 x 14, watercolor

Sentinal, oil, 24 x 18 in

Stand of Pines, w/c, 14 x 20 in
